HIKING ADVENTURES
IN GREENLAND
Featured One Day Adventures
The Nuuk Five Peaks Guided Tour offers the full Five Peaks route as a professionally guided mountain running or fast hiking experience, available on request at a date of your choice. This tour follows the same classic local loop used for the race and provides a safe, structured way to experience Nuuk’s most iconic mountain challenge.
The route covers 25 km with approximately 2,000 meters of elevation gain and includes technical terrain, off-trail sections, steep ascents, ridgelines, and limited established paths. The tour combines trail running and light mountaineering, and is suitable for experienced runners with good mountain fitness.
The five peaks included in the tour are:
Lille Malene / Quassussuaq (443 m)
Store Malene / Ukkusissat (772 m)
Store Malene / Ukkusissat – second summit (772 m)
Kangilequtaat (787 m)
Kuanninnguit (472 m)
During the tour, the guide manages pacing, route choices, safety considerations, and local knowledge, allowing participants to focus fully on the experience. The route also passes through Paradisdalen (the “Paradise Valley”), offering a varied and scenic contrast to the surrounding mountain terrain.
This guided tour is ideal for runners who want to complete the Five Peaks challenge outside race day, visiting athletes seeking a unique mountain running experience in Greenland, or small groups looking for a demanding and memorable day in Nuuk’s backcountry.

There are three ways to reach this unforgettable peak:
Boat & Run / Hike
Travel with your guide by boat into the Kobbe Fjord. Land at the base of the peak with your running or hiking gear and follow an almost untouched trail to the summit. Enjoy the views before descending with your guide to the pickup point, where the charter boat will collect you.

Guided Fastpacking & Running Tour | 3 days + 1 backup day
Experience one of Greenland’s most iconic long-distance backcountry routes: the journey from Nuuk to Kapisillit. This guided tour covers approximately 100–110 km with around 4,000 meters of elevation gain, traveling through vast Arctic landscapes within the world’s second-largest fjord system.
The route starts in Nuuk and climbs quickly into remote terrain, where the scale of the landscape becomes the main feature: wide open backcountry, glacier-shaped valleys, abundant waterfalls, and towering mountains in every direction. Underfoot conditions vary significantly across the days, ranging from firm rock to ankle-deep moss, boggy sections, and loose scree. Snow patches can linger well into summer, and the route includes multiple stream crossings.
This is a remote and committing journey. Markers may exist in places, but they can be intermittent and difficult to spot, so the experience relies on GPX-based navigation and local route knowledge. Your guide is the course record holder for the route (completed in 14:34), bringing firsthand familiarity with terrain, pacing, and decision-making across the full distance.
The finish in Kapisillit is a unique highlight: a small fjord-side settlement of around 100 residents, reached only after hours of true wilderness travel—an arrival that feels both surreal and deeply earned.

Ready for the ultimate trail running adventure in the wilderness of Greenland?
Austmannadalen is a protected area and offers the ultimate trail running experience. Here, trail running truly means wilderness running.
From the bottom of the pristine Ameralik Fjord, we run (or hike) in the footsteps of both reindeer and the legendary Fridtjof Nansen – the first to cross the inland ice cap. We let the natural landscape guide our route towards the Inland Ice Cap and back. Along the way, we pass the remains of Norse culture, with over 1000 years of history.
To make trail running possible in such a remote area, we travel with a super-light setup of lightweight equipment. We establish a base camp and explore the landscape without heavy backpacks.
NOTICE
This tour is offered to experienced trail runners and hikers only.
To participate in the hiking version, you must be confident hiking 25 km / 15 miles for three consecutive days.
To participate in the trail running version, you must be capable of running a marathon three days in a row. While we may not cover that distance every day, the terrain is as demanding as it is beautiful.
We reserve the right to decline participation for anyone not in excellent physical condition or without sufficient proof of endurance.
