Austmanna Valley Adventure Nuuk - 3½ days trail run or hike + safety day
Ready for the ultimate trail running adventure in the wilderness of Greenland?
Austmannadalen is a protected area and offers the ultimate trail running experience. Here, trail running truly means wilderness running.
From the bottom of the pristine Ameralik Fjord, we run (or hike) in the footsteps of both reindeer and the legendary Fridtjof Nansen – the first to cross the inland ice cap. We let the natural landscape guide our route towards the Inland Ice Cap and back. Along the way, we pass the remains of Norse culture, with over 1000 years of history.
To make trail running possible in such a remote area, we travel with a super-light setup of lightweight equipment. We establish a base camp and explore the landscape without heavy backpacks.
NOTICE
This tour is offered to experienced trail runners and hikers only.
To participate in the hiking version, you must be confident hiking 25 km / 15 miles for three consecutive days.
To participate in the trail running version, you must be capable of running a marathon three days in a row. While we may not cover that distance every day, the terrain is as demanding as it is beautiful.
We reserve the right to decline participation for anyone not in excellent physical condition or without sufficient proof of endurance.
